I found my camera cord! So I finally can post new pictures of my work.

(Sorry this video is sideways..)
I finally got the right battery attachment for my el wire, which will be a part of the jellyfish dress.  I decided not to get rid of it because it really is a part of my work and I like what it's becoming.  I think my collection of wearables is definitely taking a turn back into fantasy and now I'm not making myself censor that.  I think that these pieces will really express me and what I love to do, even if they are perceived as fashion or costume and not art.
I put together the pieces of my jellyfish dress though I still have a lot of other elements to add.
I'm weaving a dress entirely out of ribbons.  Originally this dress was a different design but I couldn't find the hardware I wanted to use and decided to weave it.  This dress will be constricting and revealing, focusing on the use of a decoration to create structure.

This is my new and improved hardhat :)

My meeting with Kris the other day went really well and I was really happy to have her respond well to what I wrote in my first thesis draft.  I really thought what I wrote didn't make any sense but when I reevaluated it I realized there was some ideas in there that are still very relevant to what I'm working on in my project right now.  I am getting to the point where I am really excited to be working again and I'm wanting to create work for the fun of it.  :)

Jan. 10th-16th

For some reason my blog wouldn't load these pictures last weekend so I'm going to post two blogs this week on my progress.
I've been experimenting in different materials and trying to continuously make things.  I went to the scrapbox and found some great things that I've started to use.  I am still having a little bit of a problem hammering out my concept but I think it will become more clear to me which direction I'm going in once I complete some of the ideas that I'm working on.

Last week I also looked into some of the artists that Endi and my review panel suggested for me.  They were very helpful and I found some of their work very exciting.
